In collaboration with Øystein Aurlien (project manager), Arild Eriksen (Fragment), Knut Schreiner (Rodeo Architects), Ragnhild Pedersen Foss and Esbjörn Kjell (Dark Architects), Geir Rognlien Elgvin (Grape Architects), and Runar Skjerven Eggesvik (Flott Gjort), we initiated a movement to bring greater responsibility, focus, and meaningful content to Norway’s most important public space – Youngstorget. This collective effort culminated in a case study, news articles, inter disciplinary meetings and Torguka 2021, fostering discussions and creating momentum for the revitalization of this neglected urban square, reimagining its role as a vibrant, democratic hub for the future.
