VOLLEN HOUSE

ASKER, NORWAY

2025

This single-family house in Vollen, Asker sits on a steep, hilly site with wide views toward Oslo and the Oslofjord. To make full use of the allowable floor area within local regulations, the plan is organized as a series of split levels. A central spiral stair provides efficient vertical circulation, reducing corridor space and connecting rooms on half-levels throughout.

The result is an intertwined sequence of spaces with clear sightlines and subtle three-dimensional qualities.
