VArdåsen house
grimstad, NORWAY
2015
This single-family house is nestled against the deciduous forests to the west, offers views over Grimstad city and the fjords to the south. Carefully positioned among the trees on a compact site within a developed residential area, the ground floor features sturdy Norwegian 'bag-plastered' diaphragm tile walls and polished concrete floors. The first floor is constructed with wooden walls clad in white wax-oiled Oregon pine plywood, with oak detailing.
The exterior is finished with durable, ochre-colored heartwood fir.
