STORGATA 1
SANDEFJORD, NORWAY
2024
Storgata 1 is a transformation and complete renovation project of the former 'Norske Liv' building for Larre Eiendom in Sandefjord, aimed at developing strategies to better connect the building to the street level and position it as the gateway to Storgata and the development block behind it. The building’s structural framework has been fully preserved, reducing CO2-emissions with about 1000 tons, compared to building new. An extension on the north side has created more efficient space, and the 6th technical floor has been expanded to align with the building’s facade.
The completed building has become a popular central hub that many businesses wish to be associated with. The collaboration with the municipality, business, and cultural sectors has been exemplary. The building features a rooftop solar panel system, smart glass facades, and an intelligent energy management system.
