OFF/RAMBERG HOUSE
holmestrand, NORWAY
2012
Perched on the edge of a 120m vertical cliff in Holmestrand, this house offers panoramic views of the fjord to the east, protected forest to the south, and cultural landscapes to the west. Designed as a ‘peep box’ of spatial experiences, it has been featured in prominent architectural magazines worldwide. The house is constructed with a concrete base, light grey tilestone, and wooden structures, clad externally in burnt heartwood fir and finished internally with poplar plywood, providing a rich variety of views and spatial interactions.
