BOhuslän cabin

BOHUSLäN, SWEDEN

2017

This small cabin, heli-lifted into place on a protected island on the Swedish west coast, is crafted from tightly fitted solid cross-laminated massive wooden elements for precise adaption to the rock face. Clad in copper to withstand the harsh coastal weather, it blends seamlessly into the natural gorge, offering protection and harmony with the landscape.

Replacing a worn-out annex, the new cabin complements the nearby functionalist main house while maintaining its own unique autonomy and interior qualities.
